Thanks Heatpro.
Actually, when I came downstairs this morning, it's not really groaning but it's more like a vibration. In the living space, it sounds like there is a large truck idling outside. I checked the pressure this AM, and it was reading over 25 psi with the boiler basically at temp. Our highest air vent is about 35 feet above boiler so i will have to do calculations.
But what would cause that vibration-type noise? It has never done that before. It is not really noticeable in the basement but more so in the living area of the house. Again, when I opened the bypass just to see if that would make a difference, the pitch of the noise increased so it was more audible in the basement.
