+++Last year, before the repiping, it was making the typical howling sound that it made when overheating. Now, it sounds like an old style oil burner running downstairs.

: Is there a valve on the line you can change to see the result of first altering flow rate?
+++ There is a gate vlave attached about 8 inches downstream of the pump, and another gate valve about 8 feet downstream from the boiler outlet.
