Do I need a password or special access to use this forum ?

No, the Boiler Room Steam-Forum is presented as a free service, no passwords or other identification is required to use this forum. Misuse of this forum however will result in subject posts being removed from the list.


Can I post a commercial ad ?

Maybe, the Steam-Forum is for questions and answers directly related to the steam and boiler industry. If a response requires a reference to a specific product or manufacturer then this is totally in the scope of the forum. No commercial post means no unsolicited ads or blatant sales posts are allowed.

We have initiated a new policy to accommodate those that wish to advertise gambling, casinos, pills, drugs, or similar pharmaceuticals, pr any other item that Boilerroom.com does not first approve to the listing of in writing. While we do not permit the placement of any advertisements should any advertisements of any potential type not specifically and in writing be approved by Boilerroom.com, or any other item the person or organization placing the ad, by nature of placing the ad in the first place, agrees to an initial fee of $ 1,000.00 USD invoiced immediately and a daily fee of $ 500.00 USD for every day their ad runs on our website. The advertisements do not need to specifically solicit a sale directly, the fee is charged for any posting of any type even if the posting is intended to be informational. Bottom line is if you post it you will be invoiced.


Is posting a resume or job opening allowable ?

Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts ?

You can use HTML tags in the body of the message ONLY.


Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a follow-up ?

Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines you are quoting from the previous document. Please leave these colons in to differentiate between new and old posts, for example:

The response to a post will look like this

: the original data being responded to
: will have these colons to differentiate.


Why didn't my post show up ?

Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Please reload your browser and it should then appear.


How long will my message be posted ?

There is no fixed time for messages, however most messages over three months old that required a relatively prompt reply will be removed. Informational posts and those where time is not an issue may stay on longer.


Can I remove a message I previously posted ?

Yes, just send an e-mail to sales@boilerroom.com requesting the removal of your message, be sure to describe which one to remove. Identity will be varified by comparing e-mail addresses to the one on the original post.


Can I assume all of the information posted to be correct ?
