I thought I already posted this follow up, but I guess not. I've had some different responses to this question. To clarify with you: I can tee two 1 1/4 inch return pipes into a single 3/4 inch pipe as long as the flow rate of the pump is 4 gpm or less (maximum flow rate of 3/4 inch)? Same with the supply? (although, that's going from a single 3/4 inch into 2 1 1/4 inch pipes).
: Because a pipe is larger doesn't mean that there will be more water forced into the smaller pipe;l it is the pump that controls how much water flows through pipes of any size:
