Weil-McClain Intermittent Ignition

I have a WM HE-II-4 installed in 1993. Natural gas, hot surface ignition. Worked fine until recently. Now, boiler will shut down and red valve/flame LED flashes. Often, resetting everything by removeing power gets the boiler running again. We are doing this three times a day when we notice the house is cooling off.

A few times I have observed that the boiler will go thru three failed ignition attempts and then shut down as described above. I replaced the ignitor, but that made no difference. Now I am tempted to replace the gas valve (maybe it sticks?). There is never a smell of gas.

Any suggestions?
