Hello,

I have a Weil McLain Gold GV water boiler in our 85 year old house. When running, the pipes and radiators emit a continuous high pitched noise. Partially closing (past half way) the valve on either the send or return pipe makes the sound go away. The send pipe is at 120 deg F and 20 psi. We have a two story house, with the boiler in the basement. What causes this noise, and what can I do to eliminate it?

Thanks,

Dave
