Yesterday I closed the valve on the return pipe about half way, which of course doesn't really tell us much about what I did to the flow rate, but anyway... The noise has stopped, and there appears to have been no appreciable change in the temperature balance in the house this morning; all rooms seem to be in the same temperature range as they always have been, and my wife and I enjoyed a nice quiet evening.

My only concern is whether restricting the flow somewhat might cause problems for my circulator. Is there any way to reasonably estimate this?

Thanks,

Dave
