: Your last statement, concerning right sizing, the fact that I have no obstructions and my boiler does reach the high limit and kick the burner on and off, does that mean I don't have enough radiator length?

++++ If the house is warm enough when the weather gets coldest, then the burner input is too large, the boiler can't get rid of the heat fast enough, so the water reaches the high limit temperature.

: After I got my boiler fired up it took it about 7 hours to raise the from 55 to 68 degrees when the outside temperature was 40-45 degrees in a 3200 square foot 2-story house. I that about normal or way out of line?

+++ It could be 'normal' depending upon the amount of insulation.

+++ Sizing using 'square feet' is a handicap.
