The boiler relief valve protects the boiler water side of the system and the tank relief valve protects the domestic side. The domestic water and the boiler water to heat the tank are seperate and never mix. Replace the relief valve if it was flushed. Is there an expansion tank on the domestic side of the system. It is usually on the cold line going to the tank.
