I've had this boiler for 18 yrs. with no problems, however I was startled a couple nights ago with a very loud bang (shotgun loud). The unit was still in the heat generation mode and everything appeared normal. I had the lights turned off and waited for the next bang. I observed a small blue flame coming out of the fresh air intake of the unit just like you would see coming out of the tailpipe of a car when it backfired. The unit still works fine but sleeping is real problem. This happens about every 20-25 mins. with no observable on intuitive explanation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
