: Does my circulator run constantly with this setup?
+++ there isn't an important reason to make it run unless one of the zones is calling for heat. It could run all the time to not bother with a circulator relay. A 1/8th horsepower circulator doesn't use much electricity and isn't harmed by swishing water around the impeller while the flow is cut off with all the zones closed. You could turn the circulator off manually when heat isn't needed during the summer. That is one of the reasons hot water heat is so efficient; a circulator uses much less electricity than a 1/3rd horsepower fan motor.
