To address the Aquastar combo potential problems. Few in the US are aware of the use that is expected of them in Europe. In Europe and Japan service is vertically integrated, which means that the factory intends for their service company personnel to disassemble, clean, and service the small-tube systems annually as diverter valves clog and cause operation problems when left unserviced. Americans are not used to that wo will tend to run it till failure. This can be an unsatisfactory position for an apartment owner. The ErgoMax tank avoids the need to be concerned with diverter service, as only the heating water in a sealed system is within the boiler. If the diverter valve is not used and the boiler is only exposed to sealed, clean boiler water, there is less need for expensive service, other than electronic ignition sensor cleaning and replacement yearly. As domestic water passes through the Ergomax coils and doesn't touch the boiler, there is no oxygen and dirt clogging of moving parts in the boiler and rare cleaning of the ErgoMax coils is needed.
