Is the new boiler going to require a chimney liner install? The price of that alone might make the extra cost of a high eficency boiler less of an issue. Life time warranties are meaningless to me. Only the block is covered and it's pro-rated and no labor is covered. After 15 years you're gonna replace the boiler anyway if there's an issue. Heatpro has a point. Maybe the future is the disposable wall hung boiler.
With prices under $1K, maybe it makes more sense to replace after 10 years.
