40% ? Well, maybe. It's a low mass steel boiler with an electonic boiler control to purge the heat out of the boiler after the burner fire. The boiler will cycle ALOT. They also push a glass lined booster tank that gets heated via a flat plate heat exchanger. This needs to be checked and cleaned if you're running well or very hard water.

I wasn't impressed with what was being offered for the price. I prefer any other low mass boiler
with a stainless steel indirect and boiler controls like Tekmar over a propriatary system.

3 pass cast iron boilers like Biasi (low mass), and Burnham MPO give excellent performance.

If you have large cast iron rads I would suggest a higher mass cast iron boiler.
