“I prefer any other low mass boiler
with a stainless steel indirect and boiler controls like Tekmar over a propriatary system.
3 pass cast iron boilers like Biasi (low mass), and Burnham MPO give excellent performance.

If you have large cast iron rads I would suggest a higher mass cast iron boiler.”

I’m not that well versed in shoptalk… I can tell you what my house consists of.
Split level home
1800 sq ft or 13300 cu ft of living space
Rads are baseboard
Boiler is oil (no gas in my area)
Based on that could you give me a link to something you would use if this house were yours?

“A claim of 40% can be made by any slick salesman as long as he doesn't have to GUARANTEE it. Yes, if you replace a 1940's coal boiler with any modern boiler built after 1992, then you could possibly save 40%.”

Mine is 56 or so years old and oil…do you think then it is worth my wild? Also based on my situation do you also recommend the same boilers as Joe Brix?

Thanks again your forum is very helpful…
