Are you sure your vents are working, since they don't hiss at all? They may have water building up in them. If oil, try reducing the firing rate, that can give more time for air to get out. Try a large new vent on the radiator to act more as a main. If you need main vents, come back a foot or so from the end of the 2in mains. The 1in is for the smaller liquid water. Forget the riser if there is no room. If you keep from getting slugs of water, you won't need it anyways.
