Thank you, I did try to fill it thru the drain plug, you obviously know your stuff because the relief valve did dump.
WHERE IS THE PRV? Let me describe my system:
the supply valve has a small cap on it as well (water comes out of it if I unscrew it)the supply goes directly to the expansion thank and I see no valve on it.
On the stem there is a manual drainage valve with a butterfly screw and the slot point downward
(what is the butterfly for?).
At the very bottom there is a drainage valve coming out of the boiler itself and higher than that, at the side, there is the relieve valve (which dumped when pressure was too high as above)
