I am a home owner. I do not know much about boilers but I know one thing I used to pay 1400 a year in my old home with a bigger square footage for gas and now I pay close 700 a month in the same geographical area. Another words no good.

from 11/29 to 12/27 my boiler used up 74400 cubic feet of gas
my old boiler in our old house at it's peek used no more than 25000 cu ft while heating a larger space.

can you please tell me if this is normal? or what might be wrong?
