The temperature control to fire the burner is an electronic control with a dial.

Drain the lines and the tank and disconnect them from the boiler. Can't see how the lines were connected from here. If there's a steam line to the tank cap that off on the boiler side. Unless the lines leak water, don't cap them on the boiler side. Cap them on the feedwater side.
