: A burner control normally wouldn't allow a burner to run for 10 seconds if malfunctioning; that is too long to allow gas to flow without igniting. The timing is usually a max of 1.5 seconds.

: The short cycling is more likely due to mild weather and the thermostat starting a cycle, then shutting down quickly. That can be more common with electronic thermostats that sense within a 1 degree range.

: A thermostat would close to turn on the pump relay for that zone, the heat in the system would quickly raise the room temperature from the warm system water, which would open the thermostat in quick cycles.

The only device that causes the boiler to start is the Ergomax. Its aquastat is what energizes the boiler circuit and also starts the boiler pump. The ergomax aquastat is set to 170 deg, but water temp is nowhere near that (less than 130). When I turn aquastat down, I hear a click and boiler completely shuts off. The thermostats in the house are not even on.
I found this troubleshooting diagram: it is on pages 54-55 of manual.

One other thing I notice is the flame LED on control board flickers once or twice when flame first comes on.
