You might be designing based on myth, now that hydronic courses have disappeared in the past decade.

1-1/4 will handle 140,000 btuh, no matter how many zones it is split into. If you have a WB-4-150-WPCT with an IBR rating over that, then you might or might not a larger size if the entire estimated heat loss of the house is over 140,000 btuh. As you are installing 5 zones now, that means it is in a new house of over 6000 square feet insulated to 1990 or later insulation standards.
