The deal is, however, my heat loss calc comes to about 75k, not including the indirect (which is set for priority). I was planning on setting up the the MPO147 with about .85gpm output, I don't know if I could possibly downfire the MPO189 to roughly 50% its rated capacity and still keep a high enough stack temp.

This boiler is equiped with removeable baffles in the flue passages, so I was thinking I could remove them to try and raise the flue temp. I temped by the added mass (almost 50%) the larger size would give me, but we're not planning on adding to the house, EVER, so I'll never need the added capacity.
