Steel vs. cast iron oil boiler

I have a New Yorker steel oil fired boiler with a tankless coil for domestic hot water that is 30 years old. I am thinking about having it replaced. I had the chamber replaced nine years ago (cost $300.00). In talking to various heating contractors most, if not all, say a steel boiler is no good and that I should go with a cast iron boiler. In fact some say outright that they would not install a steel boiler. My boiler has been trouble free for a long time Why shouldn't I go with another steel boiler.

Thank You
