+++ It is rated to take line voltage; but doesn't provide it, which means that it also handles the lower voltage and is used in 24 volt circuits everywhere.

That is also rated for line voltage and would work as well. The remote sensor would allow you to place the control box indoors and run the bulb outdoors, which is useful.
