: But, why do you ask?

I ask because If I see the drop in pressure in my boiler could that mean the water feed isnt working? What's strange to me is water has weight, they say that the water feed pressure regulator is set at factory at 12psi. Well when the boiler is full of water the weight of the water will cause add to the boiler pressure gauge. No one can seem to tell me how many pounds of the cold water pressure at the boiler is actually weight and not water inlet pressure. There is some there. I did a little cold water pressure testing with my boiler and I can see there is weight pressure. Would you know what that weight pressure would be, like by maybe the amount of gallons in the system, or the height of the pipes?
