now that spring is ALMOST here--just thinking of improvements to be made before next winter.
question 1:my 1,050,000 peerless one pipe system is regulated to cycle on and off by vaporstat between 4 OZ. and 10 OZ.would there be increased efficiency in a "hi-low" gas valve setup with another vaporstat?full fire to maybe 6 OZ. then 75% fire to maintain this pressure until the thermostat is satisfied?it seems a waste to have to refire the atmospheric burner several times when it could be simmering at 6 OZ.
question 2:any advice on a replacement for my old honeywell chronotherm as i see from an earlier post that not all digital thermostats may be suitable for steam.
many thanks for any advice you may be able to give--jp
