: So, is it baseboard heat, radiant floor or radiators?
I have cast iron radiators. A total of 102 fins with each fin being about 36"x10". The boiler is about 100'000 BTU/Hr and the water temperature gets up to 170 F. At that temperature, the boiler reaches a pressure of 20psi, with the current two expansion tanks setup (one model 60 and one model 30).

: Did you double check the tank pressure when it was removed and drained? Did you double check the system pressure when it's relatively cool? Those #'s should be the same. I have no idea how many systems I've seen that were overfilling because someone "thought" the tank was at the same pressure. When I checked it, it was lower or empty of air all together.

I checked the pressure of the tanks before installing them and they were both at 12 psi, which is the pressure of the boiler system at room temperature.

thanks,
