I have a Weil McLain VHE boiler, installed around 1984. This winter a couple of times it simple does not light and the house has been getting cold. The zones all work and the water pressure is fine, I can also here it running when it is calling for heat,, just no flame, thus circulates cold water. So far every instance it "just starts working" (lights,heats)within about 3-4 hours. So hard to call someone when it is working. Is it worth messing with? how long are they suppposed to last, in years? thanks!
