++ If they say it is necessary, then it is necessary. Whatever the manufacturer says in the instruction manual is code, unless the local code official over-rules the manual.

show alternate methods of installation, including use of B-vent as an intake sleeve and power vent where the air is taken from within the building. So, depending upon approval from Burnham, intake venting might not be required at at all.
