Imbed or glue a floor stat set to 68F and leave it. Add a separate Taco pump relay (they have little ones that fit on the circulator) and have the thermostat just run the circulator. Get that slab off the 504 if the SR504 is going to fire the boiler. The tank water temperature will always be over 140f and doesn't need to be fired by the slab. you don't need to try to heat the room with the slab; just keep the floor at a constant warmth and heat the room further with the hydroair.

If you control the boiler pump and burners with the ErgoMax thermostat and outdoor reset after you change the supply manifold stub to the bottom tank/ boiler return tee, you won't have to add the relay and get it off the 504, then you just leave the 504 as is - it will be disconnected from the boiler wires and will only run the pumps.

The floor slab is not an isolated situation from the rest of the boiler system. So all need to know what the situation will be with the entire system to know what to do with just part of it.
