Baseboard not getting enough heat

The baseboard in one of our rooms is not producing enough heat. Presently there is a tee off of the 3/4 inch main line to the 1/2 pipe that feeds this baseboard.

I would prefer not to have to change the 1/2 pipe.

Would a Y fitting off of the mainline divert more water through the 1/2 pipe to this baseboard?
