: The tee off your main line is most likely a diverter fitting already. The problem is more likely to be due to air being trapped and not getting out, so look for a little valve at one of the elbows at the end of the baseboard upstairs to vent some air. If the baseboard ever worked in the past, it will again if more water of the right temperature can get through again.

It appears as if the 1/2 tee is just a plain copper T.

Where can I purchase a 1/2 inch diverter fitting?
I was in the home depot the other night and could only find regular 1/2 inch tees.
