Hello, We recently moved into a home with hydronic heat. It is a one story 1900 sq. ft. home. The pipe system was originally installed 21 years ago when the home was built and is a 2 pipe system with copper pipes. It is now heated by a Propane fired Weil-McLain HE II-5 Boiler that is about 7 years old. Now my new question. When we moved in we found that the water supply for the home had a very high amount of iron in it. How the former owners put up with it I don't know. We installed a water filter/softner system and the water is now very clean and clear. However the hot water system was most likey filled whenever it was filledwith this very rusty water. The former owners have not done any maintenance on the system except cleaning of the burners. Would this affect the efficency and performance of the system? Thanks Karen
