: For a family your size, a larger 80 or 100 gallon tank with the regular size boiler is a better situation.

Thanks. Related question - As the pipes and radiators are 60+ yrs old, I had a good amount of sludge sitting in a radiator I removed. Before installing a new boiler - should I flush the system somehow? Flush the distribution side(all) and then each radiator separately (temporarily removed)? There was a lot of heavy, oily sludge sitting in that radiator - better not to disturb and send through the piping (venturi tees block, pump problems, etc)?
