I have an old (1950's?) residential 2 pipe steam system, and last year I had to add water once a month, but now it is once a day. There are no leaks at the radiators, sight gauge or under the furnace, so the water must be steam going up the chimney.
Is this repairable, or is it time to replace?
It gets pretty cold here in Minnesota, so can I ride this out till spring, or will it just get worse.
