I know i'm bound to get differing opinion here, but I just have to ask. I have an old steam system in my home with big cast iron radiators. (Although most people don't like their bulk I'm used to them and wouldn't mind keeping them) The question is...Is there an advantage to baseboard other than appearence and convenience of furniture arranging??? (I'm switching to a hotwater system) I've been told that the cast iron retains the heat longer and therefore gives a better(?) heat. Any help would be appreciated!
