HK has a good point. You can buy a little larger boiler and fire it at it's lower range to have a larger water surface and steam chest and maybe outlet for drier steam. Gas used to have an advantage of steadier prices, but your legislators have probably taken care of that with deregulation. Gas has a nice advantage - if your tank or chimney are about due, gas has no tank and lining or putting up a B vent is low compared to an all fuel rated chimney for oil. Oil is a little more in maintenance also.
