Pulverized Coal Boiler

Hi,

I'm currently working on my senior design project to reduce carbon dioxide in power plants. Our process is more concerned with lowering the CO2 by filters after the boilers and not necessarily with the actual boiler. A coal-fired power plant using PA bituminous (High Volatile A) coal was chosen with a capacity of 187.5 MW. I have completed a material balance on the combustion of the coal based on the coal analysis. However we are now trying to complete a heat balance. We are possibly using pulverized coal. We are going to pre-heat the air prior to the boiler and have an economizer after the boiler. I'm trying to get an idea of temperature of the air/steam entering the boiler and temperatures exiting the boiler. In addition, what kind of boiler to use and the efficiency. I know the formula to calculate effciency, but we don't have any of that data. Also, what would be the particle size? Any help on some assumptions to make or other references, would be greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU!!!
