I am doing an oil to gas conversion and I am wondering if my gas meter will flow enough even if it will be in theory "overloaded" a friend is telling me that I would be able to run it for the winter and then have a meter installed in spring. I have an inch and a half gas main that is sleeved with copper and the gas company has said I have a sufficient main but meter needs to be replaced and it may be too late in the season. At the meter bar it goes down to 1/2 inch pipe in and out of the meter it may be a total of 6 inches of half inch total and before is the 1 1/2 and the my side is 3/4. My boiler will be 6 feet from the meter.
