Boiler chemicals for a Slant Fin M100

I hope this is not a double post. I just wrote a post, tried to post it and it does not show up so this is a second try.

I've an old Slant Fin M100 from about 1967 which runs perfectly and I enjoy my steam heat.

I used to use a chemical sold by Webb that would change color, I think blue to red, which supposedly protected the iron. This makes sense to me as I know that in commercial boilers they add sodium hydroxide to keep the water alkaline and I suspect that the color change indicated that the chem was exhausted and the pH was turning from alkaline to neutral/acid.

Webb no longer sells this product. I would like to keep my M100 for a few years more and since it runs perfectly I was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy water conditioner/chem for a residential steam boiler.

Thanks
