Turn off the water feed to the boiler. Turn power off to the boiler. Drain the boiler. Take the plug out of the radiator and return the vent. Refill the boiler to half the glass. Turn on the boiler power, Watch the water level in the boiler glass for the day and several days. If you see the water level in the boiler rise above 3/4 glass over the week. The 'automatic fill valve' is leaking by. Most experienced residential boiler owners discover in time that the 'auto fill' is a periodic radiator sprinkler system unless cleaned thoroughly each year.
