I have a sparco PV100 1" powervent. At the bottom of the powervent is a 1/2" female threaded connection. The instruction sheet which comes from Sparco states that the bottom 1/2" connection is for a plug. Photos I've seen lead me to believe I may connect my diagragm type 5.0 gallon expansion tank directly to the bottom of the powervent. A family friend thinks that only the "Amtrol filltrol" may be connected that way and there must be a plug at the bottom of the sparco powervent and the expansion tank connected somewhere else nearby in the line.

I'm stuck for space and would like to put the expansion tank directly onto the bottom of the sparco powervent. will this work??

thanks!
