Water hammering - Steam Radiator

Hi!

I live in a 70 year-old apartment and the radiators in my apartment go off every 3 hours or so making a very loud noise. The noise goes on for half an hour or so and then stops.

Is there anything I can do get rid of the noise? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
