: Single pipe steam system. Gas fired Dunkirk boiler. Some radiators are getting hot while others are not. Once this that seems rather odd to me is that when the boiler fires up, it only burns for about a minute, maybe even less. I am thinking maybe it doesn't run long enough to create enough steam. Can this be the problem and if so, what can cause the boiler to not run for very long?

I have a similar problem on a Baxi Luna combo unit.

I can't find any dealer representative in Ontario Canada. Here is a short summary of my situation.

I have a baxi that has had thousands of dollars in service repairs over the last 8 years. After just spending $2000 and waiting for parts for 9 weeks it is finally working somewhat. It fires up for 10 seconds and shuts down for 20 t0 30 seconds and then fires up again for 10 seconds. This has been working this way since the service man left 18 hours ago. The house took 12 hours to reach 68 degrees.
I want some kind of satisfactory heating unit before the temperature drops below freezing.
Can anyone help at all? Suggestions, similar situations, contacts, cures? It's getting a bit cold these days.

Thanks in advance.
Doug
