Boiler Pipe Sizing

We are replacing our old boiler with a new condensing boiler.
The current system has two zones, one with 1+1/2" copper pipping, and the second zone has 1+1/4" copper piping, and no primary/secondary configuration.

The new boiler has 1" supply and return lines and requires a primary/secondary piping configuration.

Where should the pipe size transition be made? Directly out of the boiler to a 1+1/2" pipe? Or 1" pipe out of the new boiler into a larger manifold (1+1/2")? Or just after the zone circulator pumps to the pipe size for each zone?
