Check to make sure it's not over-fired, and that you have enough flow thru the boiler- but not too much!

What size is this boiler? What type of system is it installed in?

: I just installed a utica tri fire boiler. When i turn on the boiler it will go to 165 degrees and then the pressure rises suddenly and the relief valve blows. I turn off the boiler and the temperature starts to rise to 240 degree and this is even if the boier is turned off at 165. Even if i reduce the pressure to zero at a lower temperature, the pressure stills rises and is out ouf control. The systerm has been bled and the expansion tank was pressurized to 12 poinds.
: What is going on?
