leaving coil in boiler or removing all together

ok after reading the posts on here and doing some more research I am gonna go with an indirect system. Now my last question is would I be better off leaving the coil in the boiler and hooking up a valve on the "in" a valve on the "out" of the coil and turning them off and leaving the coil empty in the boiler. Which would also serve as a backup source for hot water in case in the future I had trouble and stores were closed for a circulator or what not till the next day. Would the coil getting heated up in the bunrer empty cause a problem. Or just removing the coil out of the unit all together.
