As long as the homeowner still maintains the water level where it needs to be. The auto feed does not maintain the proper level it just keeps enough of water in the boiler to maintain an operation safely. The manufacturer will always supply the proper operating level in the I&O manual. The Independence is 28-7/8" I believe.
