Outdoor reset will change the heating system water temperature as the outside temperature changes via an outdoor sensor. If the outside air temp get golder the water temperature gets hotter. If the outside air temp warms up the heating system gets cooler. This is 100% different than the heat manager. The heat manager has no outdoor sensor. It does not change the system heating water. It will keep the burner off longer before it fires back on but will than allow the water temp to go back up ti the high limit which may be as high as 210f.
