: I have an old steam boiler made of steel. If I could demolish the boiler myself I could save $1,400. What would I need to take it apart? Can it be broken with a sledge hammer or cut up with a metal cutting saw, or would it need to be cut apart with a welding torch?

: Thanks

: Nate

Given the current scrap price of steel I'm surprised you can't find someone to take it away for FREE! (In my area people advertise on Craigslist.org looking for old boilers, steam radiators, cars, & other large scrap metal to haul away.) Measure it up- if it can be whacked back enough to make it through any doorways/hatches I'm pretty sure you won't have to pay to make it disappear.
